About Us
Custodians of Obscura is a paranormal research and investigation organization dedicated to exploring the unexplained. We investigate reported hauntings, cryptids, folklore, anomalous phenomena, and UAP sightings while working to document and preserve the stories surrounding them.
We approach every case with an open mind and a skeptical eye. We never enter an investigation assuming that something paranormal is occurring. Instead, we examine the history, consider conventional explanations, document what we observe, and allow the evidence to speak for itself.
Our mission is not simply to hunt the unknown, but to seek answers, learn from what we discover, and preserve those findings for others.

Our Story
In 2008 Matthew and Mike created P.I.L.A.R.S. The Paranormal Investigators of Legends and Researchers of the Supernatural. They investigated under that title until 2010. In 2012 Matthew formed Pale Horse Investigations with Ryan Grassell.
Though the team has changed over the years our mission has always stayed the same. To investigate the unknown and help those in need.
